Beautiful Garden Party for a 97th Birthday Celebration

Our team had the honor to help plan and decorate a lovely, whimsical, outdoor birthday party in July. The beautiful 97-year-old guest of honor wanted to share her celebration with her two daughters and granddaughter who also share her birthday month, so it became a multi-generational birthday party. The granddaughter, also a talented theater designer, had a vision of an outdoor tented event with a garden party theme that included bright and beautiful florals, folk music and dancing, a delicious catered buffet, lawn games, an amazing ice cream truck, and evening s’mores by the bonfire. The highlight of the evening was the lifetime of memories shared during an interview of the grandmother by her nephew.

Here are a few of our favorite design details:

We created a stunning backdrop for the head table made from vintage doors that the granddaughter/homeowner collected and artfully finished with pale blue chalk paint. As a bonus surprise, after the party she generously gifted Haute House Studio the antique doors so that we can use them for future weddings and events.
We framed them with greenery panels and topped them with gorgeous bright blooms. She then added hand cut numbers to represent all of their various ages.
Behind the head table were elegant upholstered chairs for the birthday ladies.
We designed the bright floral centerpieces in our collection of vintage milk glass vases. Our favorite blooms were the anemones bursting with color!

It was such a special and meaningful event and we left feeling so blessed to be given opportunities like this to help people celebrate beautiful moments at birthday parties, weddings, events, showers and more. Check out the photos here!
