Henna Workshop at Haute House

Floral designs galore! Parents from Highlands Elementary School in Edina, Minnesota enjoyed an afternoon in our party space learning about the history, medicinal properties, and art of Henna application. Shakun Maheshwari of Shakuntula Design brought her mad skills and painted intricate patterns on hands, arms, and even backs! She makes her paste with crushed Lawsonia plant leaves, black tea, honey, and eucalyptus oil It has been documented that Cleopatra herself used henna for decorative purposes! Now that’s Haute!
